Bill Byrd has 35 years of experience in business, starting, maintaining, growing and selling businesses. He and his wife, Judie, currently lead the Culinary School in Fort Worth, Texas. Bill earned a Masters in Psychology, and a BA in Education with a major in Electronics with a minor in Mathematics. Bill is a private pilot, has tried his hand at ranching, farming, dairy & currently is also an amateur horticulturist, growing blackberries for his grandchildren. Bill is the author of Sweet Success: 12 Proven Habits of Winning Leaders, and Under the Gun: How to Start and Lose a Business in Six Months.

When you listen archived segments of the Sweet Success Radio program, you will hear co-host Teresa Shurtz’s informative insights. Teresa not only offers valuable commentary for the program, but she also happens to be Bill Byrd’s daughter. She grew up learning the ins and outs of operating businesses and is a die-hard entrepreneur herself, having started her first business at age 23.

Teresa has served in leadership roles including a stint as VP of Operations for a national franchisor for 6 years. She currently owns a title company with her husband in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Like her father Bill, Teresa has a passion for seeing people succeed in starting their own business. She brings a unique perspective since she has a strong desire to help women find the balance between a career and raising children. She believes that starting a business is the BEST way for women to accomplish this balance. Teresa also volunteers for Junior Achievement to help teach and inspire young people to value the importance of business and our free enterprise system.
